Christy Lynch is a national and international pioneer in achieving integrated employment for people with intellectual disability.

He has worked tirelessly in the pursuit of equal employment opportunities, not only in Ireland, but also throughout Europe, the Far East, South America, South Africa and Russia running seminars and lectures to professionals, academics, parents and umbrella organisations.

  • Christy set up and managed the first Supported Employment Program for people with intellectual disability in Ireland.
  • Christy was a founding member of the Irish Association of Supported Employment (IASE), founding member and first President of the European Union of Supported Employment (EUSE).
  • Christy was Chief Executive Officer of KARE from 1992 until 2018. KARE provides a comprehensive range of services for people with intellectual disability and their families/carers.
