Michael M. Mueller, PhD, BCBA-D, IBA is the co-founder of Southern Behavioral Group, Stimulus Publications, and the author of the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS). He is the co-founder of the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO).

Mike has practiced Applied Behavior Analysis with children, adolescents, and adults with autism in their homes, schools, state residential facilities, group homes, clinics, and other community settings.  He has delivered more than 150 conference presentations both nationally and internationally.  Dr. Mueller’s research includes parent and teacher training, functional analysis in school settings, pediatric feeding disorders, compliance training, discrete trial and errorless learning, increasing communication and functional skill repertoires in learners of all ages, and in reducing severe behavioral challenges in school settings. 

Dr. Mueller has more than 20 published research papers and 7 book chapters. He is the author of 10 books including, The Assessment of Functional Living Skills, The BIG Book of ABA Programs, and Behavior Analytic Consultation to Schools.

He has served on the editorial board, reviewed manuscripts for, and published in many prestigious ABA and school psychology journals.

Dr. Mueller is a Past President of the Georgia Association for Behavior Analysis and a Past Chair of the Behavioral School Psychology Interest Group of the National Association of School Psychologists.

His current passion is growing and developing ethical, culturally sensitive ABA practice and standards around the world.
